GEORGE LUCAS NAMES NEW GENERAL MANAGER FOR LUCAS LEARNING LTD.®

San Rafael, Calif. -- June 14, 2000 -- George Lucas, chairman of the board of Lucas Learning Ltd., today appointed Jane Boston as General Manager of Lucas Learning.

Boston was most recently the company's Director of Content and Learning and has played a key role in setting Lucas Learning's strategic direction. Boston joined Lucas Learning as a consultant in January 1997, became a director in August of that year, and has worked on the development of all its award-winning products. She has more than 20 years of experience working with children and technology.

"This appointment reflects a desire to maintain and strengthen Lucas Learning as a leader in providing high quality digital products that nurture and strengthen the creative force during children's formative years," said George Lucas. "Former General Manager Susan Schilling shared my commitment to have young people direct their own learning by focusing on doing, exploring, and creating. Susan launched Lucas Learning in 1996 and I credit her with building the company's outstanding reputation and bringing it numerous awards and accolades. Susan has set the stage for Jane to assume her new responsibilities, and is now departing Lucas Learning to pursue other interests."

Immediately prior to joining Lucas Learning, Boston was Director of the Stanford Program on International and Cross-Cultural Education (SPICE), a developer, publisher, and distributor of cutting-edge learning materials, and was affiliated with the Institute for International Studies and the Stanford University School of Education. Throughout her career she has combined her love of creating great products for children with strong management experience in corporate, nonprofit, and education settings.

Lucas Learning Ltd. products place value on freedom, self-discovery and choice so that learning takes place through interaction and direct experience.
